Job Title: Communications Coordinator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Communications Coordinator to join our team. The Communications Coordinator will play a pivotal role in enhancing our organization's visibility and reputation through strategic communication initiatives. They will collaborate closely with various internal teams to develop and execute communication plans that align with our organizational goals and resonate with our target audience.
Responsibilities:
Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with media contacts to generate positive coverage of our organization. Coordinate press inquiries and interviews, draft media pitches, and monitor media coverage.
Social Media Management: Manage and grow our presence on social media platforms by creating engaging content, monitoring discussions, and responding to inquiries. Stay up-to-date with social media trends and best practices.
Internal Communications: Facilitate internal communication efforts to ensure consistent messaging across all departments. Keep employees informed about organizational news, initiatives, and events.
Brand Management: Uphold brand standards across all communication channels. Develop and maintain brand guidelines and ensure consistency in messaging, tone, and visual identity.
Event Support: Provide communication support for events, including conferences, seminars, and community outreach programs. Develop promotional materials, coordinate media coverage, and manage post-event communication.
Crisis Communication: Assist in developing and implementing crisis communication plans. Act as a spokesperson during times of crisis and manage communication with stakeholders, media, and the public.
Qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to craft clear and compelling messages.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in using communication tools and platforms, including social media management tools, content management systems, and media monitoring software.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with graphic design principles and tools is a plus.
